Write for us
We welcome pitches that give film lovers a fresh, usable way to choose, watch or share movies. A strong proposal has one clear question and a small idea readers can try without special access or equipment.
What to pitch
We consider essays, comparisons, explainers and occasion-based plans on watching habits, film choices, film form, moviegoing history and film nights. Aim for an evergreen subject with a distinct point, rather than a broad survey or a disguised plot summary.
A useful proposal
Send a short outline that names the main idea, the intended reader and what the piece will help them notice or decide. Mention any films needed to explain the idea and whether the proposal relies on access, testing or material readers may not have. Do not send a finished article unless we have asked for one.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please include your name and a way for us to reply. A proposal is not an agreement to publish, and we cannot promise a response time.
Curiosity is a good reason to press play.
A small change in attention can make a familiar film feel fresh. We favour experiments you can try at home, including the ones that turn out not to suit you.
